Connor Evans has left Crewe Alexandra and signed a permanent deal with League of Ireland side Waterford FC.

The 20-year-old striker, who came through the academy and made nine appearances for the first team, has penned a one-year contract with the Premier Division outfit, who have just kicked off their season.

Former Wales Under-18s man Evans, who bagged one senior goal, previously spent time on loan with the likes of Nantwich Town, Marine and Chester FC.
