Crewe Alexandra Women can confirm the permanent signing of Ellie Jones, subject to international clearance.

The talented full-back, who can also operate in midfield, will make the switch to South Cheshire from Stirling University, who play in the second tier of Scottish football.

Jones, who has also played for Stoke City Women, becomes the sixth summer addition to what looks an exciting and youthful Alex squad.
