Striker Connor Evans has joined Marine on loan.

The 20-year-old, who scored the winner in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy win over Newcastle United Under-21s in midweek, has agreed an initial month-long deal.

Evans, who has been at Crewe since he was 11, has made nine appearances for The Railwaymen in total and enjoyed previous loan spells at Marine, Nantwich Town and Chester FC.

It is expected that Connor will be eligible to take part in Marine’s Northern Premier League fixture at Worksop Town tomorrow (Saturday).
