Bassala Sambou has joined Oldham Athletic on loan for the rest of the season.

The striker, who joined Crewe Alexandra in January 2022, has signed for the National League side on a deal that runs until the middle of May.

Sambou, who will reunite with his former Everton Under-23 coach David Unsworth, has made 33 appearances for Crewe this season, scoring one goal.

First-team opportunities have been limited for the former Fortuna Sittard man in recent weeks, and he will now join the Latics ahead of their trip to Dagenham this weekend.
