Dan Agyei’s Player-of-the-Month nomination is just reward for his consistent performances this term.
That’s according to Player Development Manager Kenny Lunt, who has heaped praise on the 25-year-old forward.
Agyei has started every League Two game this season – barely missing a minute. He has also featured in all the cup games, and is the club’s leading scorer with 10 goals.
Now he is in the running to win the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for February.
Lunt said: “I can’t speak highly enough of Dan, he’s played virtually every minute of the games and has scored all different types of goals.
“He is someone you can rely on and he has been one of our most consistent players.
“Wherever you ask him to play, he just gets on with it and does his best. He is a potential match-winner – he can do things on his own to make the difference.”
Voting is now closed for the Player of the Month Award, in which Agyei is up against Andy Cook (Bradford), Elliott Watt (Salford), Kyle Wootton (Stockport), Will Collar (Stockport), Alistair Smith (Sutton).
The winner will be announced in due course.
