Charlie Finney has signed a new contract with Crewe Alexandra.

The 19-year-old, who has been at the club since the age of six, has agreed an initial two-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months.

The versatile and skilful left-footer, who can play at full-back or further up the pitch, follows Christopher Long and Tom Booth in recommitting to the club this summer.

Finney, who spent time on loan at Chorley last term, has made 13 appearances for the Alex first-team and will be pushing to nail down a regular starting spot in 2023-24.
