Crewe Alexandra scholar Calum Agius has been called up for Wales Under-19s.
The 17-year-old, who is nearing the end of the first 12 months of his scholarship, will link up with the international side for friendlies against Sweden on June 15 and 18.
Agius, a creative attacking midfielder, will be part of Wales preparations for next season’s UEFA European U19 Championships qualifying campaign.
The Ellesmere Port-based player has impressed with his performances for Crewe U18s and U23s this term.
U18s Manager Ryan Dicker said: “Calum’s dedication and desire to improve is testament to his personality and character, and part of the reason why he represents his country.”
