Winger David Amoo has joined Crewe Alexandra on a contract until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old, who can operate on either flank, has signed a permanent deal after agreeing his release from Stevenage.

The former Liverpool academy youth, who has scored 49 goals in more than 400 career appearances, has played for the likes of Preston, Carlisle, Cambridge and Port Vale.

Amoo, who is quick and direct, has become Lee Bell’s fourth new signing of the January transfer window.

He linked up with his teammates at Reaseheath today (Thursday), and will be in contention to feature against Stockport County on Saturday (3pm).
