Crewe Alexandra can confirm that Oliver Finney has agreed a permanent deal with Hartlepool United.

The 25-year-old's contract at Crewe was terminated by mutual consent, and he has now penned an 18-month agreement with the League Two outfit on a free transfer.

The homegrown attacking midfielder joined Crewe at the age of nine and came through the academy ranks.

He made his debut in 2017 and went on to make exactly 100 league appearances for the club, 125 in all competitions, and scored 18 goals.

He bagged five times to help Crewe to promotion from League Two in 2020, but has found first-team opportunities limited in recent times.
