Midfielder Charlie Colkett is in contention to return for Crewe Alexandra when Stockport County visit tomorrow (Tuesday, 7.45pm).

The 26-year-old has been missing since New Year’s Day, when he limped off with a hamstring strain after scoring a stunning winner against Tranmere.

The former Chelsea youth returned to full training last week and is in line to feature against County.

Manager Lee Bell said: “Charlie is back with the group now and is available for selection, he looks really sharp and it’s good to have him back because he has real quality and gives us something different.

“He’s a great pro and we’ve got a programme in place for him. The medical team is working with all the players to try to help avoid some of the injuries we’ve been picking up.”

Colkett joined The Railwaymen on a two-year contract last summer but his appearances have been limited by injuries.
