Lee Bell says news on players suffering knocks will determine which system Crewe Alexandra can operate against Hartlepool United tomorrow night (Tuesday, 7.45pm).
The Railwaymen started the weekend’s draw at Crawley in a 4-2-3-1 shape, but were much improved after switching to 3-5-2 in the second half.
However, with Sean Robertson now suspended and fellow right-back Kelvin Mellor injured, the Manager says he is unsure which shape his side will play in.
And with a number of other players nursing minor problems, he will wait to finalise plans.
Bell said: “We were pleased with the way the tactics worked in the second half, but do we have the personnel to do it on Tuesday? We’ll have to see. We are waiting on one or two who are struggling as well.”
Robertson will serve a one-game suspension after picking up two bookings at Crawley, while Mellor is hoping to return to training next week.
Bell added: “Whoever comes in has to grab the opportunity and play for the team. We need togetherness from the players, management and fans. That comes from the players working hard for the team and getting points on the board.”
