Courtney Baker-Richardson is still a ‘few weeks’ away from being back on the pitch for Crewe Alexandra.
That’s according to boss Lee Bell, who has been full of praise for the way the striker has been working to recover from the hamstring injury which has kept him out since the end of October.
Baker-Richardson, who scored eight goals in 14 starts since joining in the summer, was seen running at Mornflake Stadium before Saturday’s clash with Grimsby Town.
Bell said: “He is a few weeks off yet. I know he was running on the pitch, but I’d imagine he’s four weeks or so away from being out there playing.
“He’s an important member of the group, he was scoring goals when he was playing, and he adds character, spark and aggression to the dressing room, which I really like.
“We’ve missed him and he has worked his socks off in rehab. He is a great guy and character and I want him around the players as much as possible.”
