Crewe Alexandra players will be aiming to get 2024 off to a flying start in front of a big crowd tomorrow (Monday, 3pm).

That’s according to Lee Bell, who hopes for a bumper crowd at Mornflake Stadium for the visit of Bradford City.

More than 7,000 Alex supporters attended the last home game against Barrow, and the Manager believes another good following will boost his men.

Bell said: “It’s another big team coming to Gresty Road and I really hope we get a good home support; it’s obvious we didn’t get the result we all wanted against Barrow but I want the fans to keep backing them.

“We will be having a right go at it in 2024. The players, staff and fans will get together and have a right go.

“It won’t be for the lack of trying if we don’t finish where we want to. We will get some fresh bodies in and we’ll have a few bodies back too, and we will have a right go.”
