Vaughan appointed Under-18s Manager

11 August 2023

David Vaughan has been appointed Crewe Alexandra Under-18s Manager.

The former Welsh international and Premier League star, who came through the Alex youth system and played more than 200 games for the club, has replaced Ryan Dicker, who has been promoted to the first-team set-up.

Vaughan, 40, who also represented Real Sociedad, Blackpool, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest in a stellar career, has been part of the Crewe coaching operation since 2020 and was most recently U18s Assistant Manager.

The Welshman, who earned 42 caps for his country and was part of their 2016 European Championships squad, will be assisted by Sam Pettitt, who moves up from his position as Youth Phase Coach.

Everybody at Crewe Alexandra would like to wish David and Sam all the very best in their new roles.
