Lachlan Brook recovering way ahead of schedule

2 September 2022

Loan man Lachlan Brook is way ahead of schedule in his recovery from an ankle injury.

That's according to manager Alex Morris, who reckons the Brentford loan man could be back in action inside a fortnight.

The 21-year-old forward picked up the knock in the 2-2 draw with Northampton on August 20, and was initially ruled out for six weeks.

But Morris said: "Some players take longer than others to recover from injuries, and thankfully with Lachlan he’s a quick healer and has a great determination to get back as soon as he can.

"He was assumed to be out for four-to-six weeks, and it looks like we’ll get him back right at the front end of that window. That’s really positive."

The boss reported that Christopher Long has been 'back on the grass' this week after missing the start of the season with an ankle problem, while Rio Adebisi (foot) is about two weeks away from full training.
