Crewe Alexandra must focus on their own game, and not worry about how new manager Danny Schofield might set up his Doncaster Rovers side.
That’s according to Lee Bell, who says it is impossible to predict how the visitors will approach the game at Mornflake Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
Schofield replaced the sacked Gary McSheffrey at the helm on Thursday, and has been working with his players in preparation for the clash.
But Bell, assistant to Crewe boss Alex Morris, believes The Railwaymen should simply concentrate on their own performance.
“It has to be about us, we know what we have to improve on and we need to see it on the pitch,” he said.
“It’s difficult because we don’t know how Doncaster will play, they’ve tried to press in the past, they’ve dropped off, they have played with three and four at the back, so it is unpredictable.
“But we are just fully focused on what we have to do.
“We need to up our performances and we need to score more goals, that’s clear. We need a little spark, but we have a great bunch of lads who all want to kick on.
“We want to be higher in the table than we are, and we are looking forward to the games coming thick and fast over the next couple of weeks.”
Former Huddersfield Town boss Schofield is working with the existing staff at Doncaster, including former Crewe player Paul Green.
