Crewe Alexandra are delighted to confirm Zac Williams has signed on the dotted line to remain with the Reds.
The left-footed, 18-year-old, became a huge part of the 21-22 campaign after being handed his League debut against Bolton Wanderers before the turn of the year.
Zac, from north Wales, joined the Alex as a primary school kid and has progressed smoothly through the ranks at the Alex and also on the international stage with Wales.
Assistant Manager Lee Bell, believes the commanding central defender has what it takes to go to the very top.
He went on to say: “He loves defending and diving in front of footballs, he screams and cheers in the game when he’s done it. He just loves it.
“He’s tall and lean and has good physical attributes. He comes out with the ball nicely and joins in attacks and he’s dominant in the air. He’s a leader and talker and loves to compete and win which is a rarity in kids these days, I’d say.
“He trains hard - it’s refreshing to see a young lad with so much determination to do what he’s here to do – become a footballer. I’m not saying other people don’t have determination, they show it in different ways, but he is a real leader.”
