Alex Morris says there has been no further movement of players going out of the club following the departures of Travis Johnson and Josh Lundstram this summer - but he has stated that there is a ‘willingness on both sides’ for a similar deal to be struck with Spanish midfielder Madger Gomes.
The former Liverpool and Leeds man struggled to make the impact he would have liked last season and Morris has admitted that he cannot guarantee the 25-year-old regular first-team football again next season.
Morris updated the club’s official website: “There is a bit going on behind the scenes but no real update on that situation. We are hoping that something can be resolved sooner rather than later and there is willingness on both sides for that be sorted to a conclusion.
“There hasn’t been much movement on that and hence why I can’t go into much detail on that at the moment.”
