Crewe Alexandra manager, David Artell, says that with other teams at the bottom of League One struggling for results, the Alex have seven games left to save their divisional status.
Artell has described the up-coming month as seven cup finals and that Crewe need to start winning games to stand any chance of staying up.
Crewe host Fleetwood Town at the weekend aiming to end a poor run of five straight defeats and a seven coming at home coming in succession.
Artell told the club’s official website: “There are 7 games left and the time is now. We have to start winning games of football because although nothing has really changed in terms of the gap, the games are ticking away.
“The challenge is there and we have got to turn the tide. We have got to hope that our young players have learned enough in the last three months so that we can out a run together in the last seven games and get out it.”
