Crewe Alexandra boss has hinted at the possibility of Billy Sass-Davies returning before the end of the season.
The central defender has been out of action since mid-February after a scan revealed a DVT in his calf muscle, with the feeling that he would be sidelined for the rest of the season.
However, the Alex boss told crewealex.net that: “He’s still a while away but there is a small possibility that he might be back before the end of the season.
“With the size of the blood clot the new anti-coagulants are different, [to when] I had a DVT in my career and I was out for 6 weeks not being able to do anything. Whereas now, the anti-coagulants allow you to do some exercise.
“He is back with the consultant at the end of the month and we can reassess from there.”
