Jackson Appointed Under-23 Manager

1 June 2022

Michael Jackson has been appointed as the club’s new Under-23 manager and moves from his position of Head of Coaching to accept the role.

Jackson will replace Lee Bell as the new permanent manager of the Under-23s after previously working as Bell’s assistant at Under-18 and Under-23 level. He will work closely with Kenny Lunt, who accepted the role of Player Development within the Academy after a staff reshuffle last March.

Jackson has a wealth of coaching experience and has managed at various age groups in the club’s highly respected Academy structure.

The former Academy player, who began his coaching career when he was released as a teenager, replaced Will Ryder as the club’s Head of Coaching after Ryder was appointed Academy manager of Port Vale last season.

Crewe Alexandra will advertise for a new Head of Coaching to be based at the club’s Reaseheath Training complex.
