Connor O’Riordan’s performances at first-team level last season has been rewarded with a new and improved contract.
O’Riordan has signed an initial three-year contract with his hometown club.
The Crewe-born centre-half made his breakthrough last season, making 13 appearances in all competitions whilst still only a second year scholar.
His assured performances despite playing in a relegation dogfight at the bottom of League One, has certainly earmarked him as another promising player for the future.
O’Riordan came through the club’s renowned Academy system after being spotted playing at the club’s local Soccer Centre in Shavington.
The 18-year-old has also had short loan spells at Kidsgrove Athletic and Nantwich Town to enhance his playing time and competitive experience. Standing at 6’4” and comfortable in possession, O’Riordan was rewarded with the club’s Scholar-of-the-Year award at the end of the season.
