Alex Morris says that he is relishing his first pre-season as Crewe Alexandra manager, as he is hopeful that the programme devised amongst the coaching staff will give the players the best chance of being competitive at the right end of the League Two table this coming season.
The Crewe boss told the official club website: “I have enjoyed every pre-season under every job title that I have had.
“I have done loads of pre-seasons as a player here, I’ve done seven or eight now in the first team environment, in various other roles, so I know what to expect.
“I’ve seen how different pre-seasons look here, I’ve utilised that and used the advice of others who are also in the management scene, seeing 20 pre-seasons themselves to try and put together something that fits for us.
He then added: “We’ve brought together all of our ideas, everything we have seen from our experience to ensure hopefully we’ve got together a programme over this next six weeks which will get our players exactly where they need to be”.
