With Alex Morris away on holiday, his assistant manager, Lee Bell, fulfilled media duties this week and he was quick to praise the supporters for purchasing season tickets for the forthcoming campaign.
Bell says that he is ‘proud’ to be associated with a club that could surpass the amount of season tickets sold in comparison to this stage last season. The assistant manager firmly believes that there are not many teams in the country who would achieve that after the season we endured.
Bell told the club’s official website: “The off season is going well. We have managed to bring three players into the building and we are confident on others. There has been a lot of planning going on and that just isn’t recruitment. A lot has gone into what we want to do in pre-season and into the season.
“The season tickets sales have gone well and I don’t think there are many clubs in the country who would have surpassed the same number we sold at this stage last season after the season we had.
“It is very impressive and it makes you proud to be associated with a club that can do that. The fans have shown they want to come and back the team and their club and we are all grateful for that. We can only thank them and hopefully there will be others who will want to come or come back.
The assistant added: “We want to build an exciting team for them to watch that produces good football and become successful again. We want them to be as excited as we will be at the Mornflake Stadium on a Tuesday and Saturday.”
