Alex Morris has told the club’s official website that he was really pleased with the way his Crewe Alexandra side responded to going a goal behind against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.
The Alex had to dig deep to come back in the game after John Swift had given the Baggies the lead 10 minutes into the second period.
After transferring through the centre from his wing position, Dan Agyei scored a fine individual goal to give Morris’ side a deserved draw against our Championship opponents.
After the 1-1draw, Morris reflected: “I was really really pleased with the way the players responded after going a goal behind. We showed some real character and were really positive after going a goal down and that bodes well for the season ahead.
He added: “We need to cope with those set-backs in matches and I cannot fault the players for the application they have shown throughout the pre-season”.
