Crewe Alexandra’s attacking midfielder, Oli Finney, is set to return to pre-season at Halesowen Town this evening. Finney missed Saturday’s goalless draw at Barnsley after a slight shin complaint.

The 24-year-old is expected to step up his own pre-season preparation against a club he spent some time on loan at earlier in his career.

Finney had a loan spell at The Grove in September 2017 along with Dan Udoh, but his time was cut short due to injury.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7.45pm with boss Alex Morris set to run his eye over a couple of trialists - but full-back Kelvin Mellor is also expected to be involved after missing the Barnsley match due to illness.
