Alex Morris would like some more bodies in the building to not only strength his squad options for the season but also provide the opportunity for some of his younger contingent to go out on loan.

The Alex boss has stressed that it could be beneficial for some of his first-year professionals such as goalkeeper Tom Booth, full-back Sean Lawton and forward Connor Salisbury to go out on loan and gain some valuable competitive football.

Morris told the club’s official website: “Someone like Connor is a bit off being in contention at the moment. He is coming back from injury and he would benefit from some loan spells. That would get him first-team ready we feel and there are a few in that category.

“We still have our targets and they might not all come off, if they do then great because we feel we have quality but we just need a bit more depth to the squad. We need both if we are going to have a successful season and we feel there are areas we need to add to.”
