Treatment room easing and Zac expected to be back after self-isolation.
David Artell is set to welcome back a number of his first team squad for this weekend’s trip to Cambridge United. Club captain, Luke Murphy, is set to shake off his hip injury to make himself available to travel. Murphy was forced off inside the opening 15 minutes against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and had to be replaced by Regan Griffiths.
Fellow midfielder, Scott Robertson is also expected to make himself available for selection after missing Saturday’s goalless draw after complaining of a tight hamstring. The on-loan youngster from Glasgow Celtic was not risked after starting in the 2-1 win over Charlton on the Wednesday evening.
Forward Scott Kashket is nearing a return to full training and could yet be available for the squad if he can negotiate the final sessions of the week with no discomfort.
Crewe can also select defenders, Donervon Daniels and Zac Williams following periods of self-isolation.
The Alex with be without Ben Knight and Rio Adebisi though for the trip to the Abbey Stadium, as both recover from foot injuries.
