Dale Set To Return To Crewe After Blackpool Loan Spell

11 January 2022

Boss says club will do everthing it can to get forward back into form.

David Artell has told the club’s official website that Owen Dale is 'unavailable at the moment' but the club will give him all the help and support he needs to get him back playing football again as soon as possible.

Dale, 23, has returned from his six-month loan spell at Blackpool after making seven appearances for the Seasiders in the Championship.

Dale has made 109 appearances for Crewe in all competitions, scoring 15 goals. He was named as the club’s player-of-the-season during the last campaign after scoring 12 goals. The form alerted Neil Critchley's Blackpool side, who signed him on loan on deadline day with a view to a permanent deal.

Artell told crewealex.net: “Owen is unavailable for us at the moment. He will be disappointed with what has happened with Blackpool and we will give him all the help and support he needs and when he is available again then we will let everyone know.

“That’s football and you have to move on. We have to make sure that when he is available again we can get him back to the form that saw a Championship club become interested in him and want to buy him.

“That is in all our interests and we will endeavour to get him fit and available as soon as we can.”
