David Artell says that it suits all parties that Owen Dale has moved on to Blackpool after spending the first half of the season on loan with the Championship club. Dale, 23, has now signed a permanent deal with Neil Critchley’s side with Crewe receiving an undisclosed fee for the wide forward.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “I think everyone is pleased that the deal is now done and dusted and we wish him well. I think the deal is right for everyone and we wouldn’t have done it if we wouldn’t have got the transfer fee we felt he was worth.
“If it wasn’t the right deal then we would have welcomed him back because he would have been our player again, but I think everyone is now pleased with the position we are now in.
He added: “We haven’t been relying on Owen because he has not been here for 6 months, so in that respect we haven’t lost anything and now have the agreed fee. I think it suits us all and everyone is happy.”
