Crewe Alexandra’s French striker, Mikael Mandron, is set for an extended period on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury away at Gillingham. Mandron, 27, has scored 8 goals in 34 games this season is expected to return before the end of the season but it is certainly another blow to contend with in our quest to remain in League One.
David Artell used the January transfer window to bolster his attacking options with Dan Agyei and Bass Sambou arriving at the club to support the likes of Chris Porter and Chris Long.
Crewe travel to Accrington Stanley on Saturday aiming to bounce from last night’s disappointing 4-1 home defeat by Plymouth Argyle.
