The club’s new left-back signing, Tariq Uwakwe, is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in the 1-0 defeat to Oxford United.

The former Chelsea youngster, who joined the club in January, has made a positive start to his Crewe career and it is another blow for our plans with loan signing Ryan Alebiosu also ruled out through injury.

Josh Lundstram replaced Ukwakwe just after the half an hour mark against Oxford and went on to win the Sponsors Man-of-the-Match award.
