David Artell says that the duo of John Coleman and his assistant Jimmy Bell at Accrington Stanley remains ‘the perfect fit’ and he has praised the job they have achieved in establishing the club as a competitive League One side.
Crewe travel to Accrington this weekend in need of a positive result, as we attempt to stay in touch with the teams currently out of the bottom four.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “John and Jimmy have done an excellent job there and it is there club. It is the perfect fit. They have always been a good fit.
“They went to Rochdale for a short period and they soon realised that it wasn’t the same.
“They have established Accrington as a League One club and it is always a difficult place to go and get a result. They are difficult to break down and have good, competitive players. You have to match that and be at it, or they make things extremely difficult.
He added: “We played something like ourselves for 30, 35 minutes against Plymouth and we have to play longer than that at Accrington to stand any chance.”
