Requirements
UEFA B Licence- UEFA B Goalkeeping Licence
• FA Advanced Youth Award - Current FA Safeguarding Certificate
• Successful applicant will be required to undertake an FA DBS (CRB) check
• Able to be flexible with their working week which will include evenings and weekends
• Driving licence and car
Desirable
• Previous experience of working in a Professional Football Academy working with and developing Academy players across a variety of age groups
• Knowledge of EPPP and PMA
- Excellent communication skills
- An understanding of EFL Rules and Regulations
- Competence in using computer software
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of the Academy Goalkeeping Coaching Programme across all age groups, including Pre-Academy, Foundation and Youth Phases as set out by the Academy Manager/Head of Coaching.
- To provide all relevant information with regards to PMA including weekly performance reviews, 6/12 week reviews and Individual Learning plans for all Academy Goalkeepers.
- To work closely with the Head of Coaching to develop the Goalkeeping coaching syllabus and curriculum.
- To coach 3 evenings per week, delivering sessions to all Academy goalkeepers from u9 to u16s.
- To follow the u18 daily schedule working with goalkeepers within this age group.
- To be present at weekend Academy fixtures, working with Goalkeepers across all age groups.
- To attend at least 5 hours of “in service” training each year provided by the FA and to attend the Emergency First Aid review every 3 years.
- To attend “in service” training as part of their CPD as organised by the Football Club.
- Establish a strong link between local schools, grassroots football clubs and grassroots coaches.
- To liaise with Head of Academy recruitment regarding progress of Pre-Academy, Foundation and Youth phase Goalkeepers including trialists.
- To ensure all Academy players are in a safe environment at all times at both training and fixtures
- Report any grievances either personal or player based nature to the Welfare Officer or Academy Manager.
- Ensure all injuries are reported to the Medical Department.
- Ensure all players performance clocks are up to date and to add all session plans/evaluations (PMA).
