Crewe lost two forwards before half time in last night's 1-0 defeat to Gillingham.
Crewe Alexandra will assess the knee injury that Miakel Mandron sustained in last night’s 1-0 defeat to Gillingham. The Frenchman suffered a twist knee at the Priestfield Stadium and was eventually forced off just before half time after bravely trying to shake the injury off. He was replaced by Chris Porter.
Crewe also lost forward Chris Long just after the half an hour mark through illness, but with no game at the weekend, the club fully expect the former Everton and Burnley man to be available for selection against Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday 8th February.
Artell told the club’s official website: “Chris wasn’t feeling at his best before the game but wanted to give it a go. Mika twisted his knee and had to come off, so we will have to assess him and see how he is.”
