On-loan Arsenal defender forced off with back spasm.
Crewe Alexandra are hopeful that on-loan defender Ryan Alebiosu will be available for the home fixture against Portsmouth this weekend.
The young Arsenal right-back was forced off with a reported back spasm just after the 20th minute mark and had to be replaced by Travis Johnson. Wigan Athletic went on to win the game 2-0 at the DW Stadium and with Doncaster Rovers winning 1-0 at Lincoln City, the Alex returned to the bottom of League One.
Alex boss David Artell told the club’s official website: “Ryan had a back spasm. He landed awkwardly and then found it difficult to run. We will have to monitor him this week and see how he is for the weekend.
“It is too early to tell but we are hopeful that it is not too serious.”
