Agyei Hoping To Score The Goals To Lead The Alex To Safety

4 February 2022

Daniel Agyei is hoping that after securing a permanent move to Crewe on deadline day will lead to a more settled timein his career and more potential game time. The former Burnley forward spent the early part of his career out on loan with the likes of Coventry, Walsall and Blackpool before scoring 11 goals in 93 appearances for Oxford United.

The 24-year-old is now hoping that he can continue to develop as a footballer during his 18-month spell at Crewe. He made a promising debut for the club away at Gillingham in mid-week, testing the home goalkeeper, Aaron Champan on a couple of occasions.

Agyei is now hoping that he will get amongst the goals soon enough to help Crewe move away from the relegation zone. The forward told the club’s official website: “I was impressed with what the manager had to say and have always been impressed with the style of play. Crewe always try and play good football.

“I wanted to play more football and to get game time in this league. I’ve been in this league for a while now and all the lads are confident that we can still change this situation around and get out of it.

Danial added: “The gaffer saw the potential in me and I hope I can come here and score the goals to help us move up the table. I am versatile enough to play right across the front line and have an eye for me. I wanted to come here and play my part and develop as a player.”
