Striker Connor Evans will be part of Crewe Alexandra’s squad to face Leyton Orient on Saturday (1pm).
Manager Lee Bell says the homegrown hitman, who has returned from a loan spell at Marine, is in the reckoning to feature at Mornflake Stadium.
The 19-year-old, who scored twice during a month at Rossett Park, is hoping to add to his six Alex outings.
Bell said: “We’ve had good reports back on Connor. Marine picked up while he was there and moved up the league, and he scored a couple of goals.
“He’ll be in contention for Saturday. We are very low on goalscoring options so he will be in our thoughts.”
Meanwhile, Bell says young keeper Tom Booth is earning ‘rave reviews’ while on loan at Nantwich Town. He arrived at Weaver Stadium in October and the deal runs until January.
He added: “I’m really pleased because it would have been easy for him to stay here, in and around the U23s, but he needs to be playing, and being put under pressure.
“He is going to be a good keeper and the more games he has at that level, the better. He's a winner, he is demanding of the players around him. He’s been getting rave reviews and I want that progression to continue.”
