Lee Bell says the Crewe Alexandra board will back him in the January transfer window.

The Manager wants to strengthen his squad in the New Year and has revealed he will have some financial support to do so.

Bell, who has already stated he intends to bolster his strikeforce, said: “We expect to do some business in the window.

“We’ve had some plans in place for a while, and we have some targets. We have to make sure we get the right players and characters.

“Finances are tight, but we will get some backing from the board to bring in a couple of players over January. Some players of ours might go out on loan, which would free up cash, so we will see about that too.”

The futures of loan trio Lachlan Brook, Eli King, and Khanya Leshabela, must also be decided as their deals at Brentford, Cardiff, and Leicester, come to an end.

Bell added: “We’ve had conversations with them and their clubs, but I won’t say anything on that until the time is right.”
