Weekend Weather & Travel Warning

12 August 2022

Ahead of this weekend's fixture with Salford City, we would like to make supporters aware of the extreme temperatures that are set to be recorded on Saturday and Sunday.

The hosts have informed us that the sun will at some point in the match be shining directly on the Club's East Stand terrace where our supporters will be located so we'd advise taking plenty of fluids, suncream and caps.

With the hot weather continuing into the weekend, the DCMS have once again issued advice on how to stay safe during a heatwave – please click HERE.

Supporters should also pay particular attention to the weather conditions when travelling home and away this weekend.

A further reminder that there will be rail strikes taking place tomorrow (Saturday 13 August) which will have a disrupting effect on football supporters attending EFL fixtures.

So please be aware of the the following services that will be affected by the industrial action:

•           Arriva Rail London

•           Avanti West Coast

•           Crosscountry

•           Greater Anglia (including Stansted Express)

•           Great Western

•           Hull Trains

•           LNER

•           London Overground

•           Southeastern

•           West Midlands Trains

Take care and see you tomorrow, Reds.
