The Railwaymen Supporters’ Society have launched a pop-up shop at Crewe Market Hall to give the club a new focal point in the town centre.

The store, which offers a wide range of official Crewe Alexandra merchandise to shoppers in the bustling venue, will be run by volunteers from the fans’ group.

The RSS have been working hard to develop ways to attract new supporters and strengthen the club’s connection with the people of Crewe, and this unit is a major step towards doing that.

Chairman Mark Beavan said: “We are delighted to announce that we have secured a unit at Crewe Market Hall.

“It’s a great opportunity to embed ourselves in the local community, and promote the fans’ group and the football club at the same time.

“The stall will give us a focal point in the town centre and we will have a range of Crewe Alexandra merchandise on sale.

“Future initiatives for a ticket collection point and selling tickets are in the pipeline for later in the year.

“We look forward to welcoming customers. Come down and say hello!”

Mark added: “A big thanks to Garry Johnson at the Market Hall and Charlotte Beckett from the football club for making this possible.

“It’s an exciting opportunity and we can’t wait to get started. We also need help manning the stall, if you are interested in doing so, get in touch with us.”

The pop-up shop’s opening times are: Thursdays (4pm-8pm) and Fridays (3pm-8pm). It will also be open on Saturdays, between 10.30am-1pm, when Crewe are playing at home.
