Homegrown striker Connor Salisbury has announced that he has changed his surname to Evans.

The prolific academy graduate, who has made six appearances for The Railwaymen, has made the decision in order to have the same surname as his mother and stepfather.

The Wales U18 international, who has been at Crewe since he was 11, signed his first professional contract earlier this summer and will be referred to as Connor Evans in all communications from this point.
