Finney late withdrawl from starting XI after falling ill before kick-off.

Oli Finney was a late omission from the Crewe Alexandra starting line-up last night after he became unwell on the team coach prior to arrival.

The midfielder was sick en route to the Stadium and Luke Murphy stepped back into the side as a like-for-like change with Tom Lowery given that licence to play higher. The late change meant a first appearance on the first-team bench for Lewis Billington.

Finney was feeling better later in the evening and it is hoped that he will make a full recovery in time for this weekend’s trip to Doncaster Rovers.

Meanwhile, Mika Mandron completed the second 45 minutes of the game against MK Dons. It was the Frenchman’s first involvement since suffering a knee injury away at his former club Gillingham.
