Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the appointment of Josh Kennard and Glyn Chamberlain who will head up our recruitment operation.

Josh joins as Head of Recruitment and Glyn as Recruitment Consultant. Both will work closely with fellow key members of the Club’s football management staff to identify potential new signings for the first team.

Josh is former Head of Recruitment Analysis at Millwall and arrives with a glowing reputation for combining data analysis with football knowledge.

Glyn, who was Chief Scout at Crewe Alexandra between 2005-2009, brings with him more than 40 years of scouting experience for clubs including Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Sheffield United.

Director Karl Hancock said: “We have worked hard to appoint people with the right credentials, and we are really pleased that Josh and Glyn have agreed to come on board.

“They have a range of attributes which will complement the qualities of our existing staff, who will continue to play an important part in the process of recruiting players.

“This is an important time for Crewe Alexandra and I’m confident that this investment in our recruitment department will give us the best possible chance of enjoying a strong 2022-23 campaign and stand us in good stead for the future.”
