Boss says Kayne suffered an allergic reaction to something and had to come off against Plymouth but defender is fine.
Full-back Kayne Ramsay suffered an allergic reaction to something last night that forced him off the pitch just five minutes into the second half. The on-loan Southampton defender had to be replaced by Travis Johnson at Home Park and the club quickly had a paramedic on the scene after the likeable Londoner complained of his air waves becoming restricted.
David Artell said that the former Chelsea trainee was fine after taking an antihistamine and he travelled back to South Cheshire with the squad following the 1-1 draw.
Artell told crewealex.net: “Kayne suffered an allergic reaction to something and we are not sure at the moment what it was. After about 10 minutes of the game, he looked as though he had gone ten rounds with Usyk because his eyes had swollen.
“Then when he went down in the second half, he complained that his throat had become tighter and that his air waves felt restricted, so we got him off and had the paramedics on stand-by to check him over.
The boss added: “He had an antihistamine and felt better. He came home with us and it seems he had a reaction to something and we will find out what it was.”
