Club hopeful hamstring injury to skipper is nothing too serious
David Artell is hopeful that club captain, Luke Murphy, may be available for selection again for this weekend’s trip to Rotherham United.
Murphy, who has arguably been our most consistent performer this season, missed the mid-week defeat to Morecambe after coming off against his former club Burton Albion with a tight hamstring.
The club are hoping the muscle injury is not too serious and he will be back in the frame shortly. Josh Lundstram returned to the starting line-up in his absence in Tuesday’s disappointing defeat.
Artell said on Murphy: “We are hopeful on Murphy, but we genuinely don’t know if he will be fit for the weekend.
“At this stage, it is still a little bit early to decide but we don’t think it is anything too serious.”
