Alex centre-half back in the team and looking to build momentum with back-to-back home wins.

Donervon Daniels says it is important that the Alex build on that first win of the season against Burton Albion with another positive performance and result against Morecambe this evening.

The Crewe centre-half produced another solid performance to help us achieve a first clean-sheet and league win at the weekend but he hopes that our recent results and performances are the start of some real momentum after a slow start to the campaign in August.

Daniels told the club’s official website: “It was a great weekend and it was important to get those three points.

“As the manager has said in his recent interviews, we have worked hard on the training ground to build those relationships and it has been evident in the last few games that that has been coming together but we have to keep on working hard.

“It is all about building momentum. It started with the Papa John’s Trophy game at Shrewsbury and we have to keep it going. We are three unbeaten and we want to make it four unbeaten against Morecambe.

“This club has a lot of togetherness and the new lads have felt part of the group very quickly. It is now about working hard and I’m sure we will start to move up the league table. I don’t think our league position is a reflection of how good we are but it is up to us to make sure that we get the results through our performances. “
