'Only A Great Experience For Billy To Be Involved With Wales Under-21'

Defender hoping to face the Dutch after Moldova set-back.

Kenny Lunt says it is only helping Billy Sass-Davies’ overall development to be involved with Wales Under-21. The Crewe centre-half was used as a late substitute against Moldova and will be hoping for more game time against Holland this evening as the Red Dragons look to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Lunt told the club’s official website: “It only helps Billy and are other young players, such as Zac (Wiliams) to go away with their national teams. It only increases their experience to play with and against good players.

“It does them good to be in a different environment. It only helps them and he scored his first goal for his country the other week against Bulgaria, so that only helped his confidence again.

“He has been unfortunate this season. When he has gone into the team, he has come in and done well and he has probably been the one to suffer most when we change the formation.

“We have been pleased with him when he has gone in and he has to keep that going.”
