"It Should Be Another Entertaining Game Of Football Against MK Dons"

28 October 2021

Alex host MK Dons this weekend in what is sure to be an attractive game of football.

Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell says that like us, the DNA of how MK Dons play is all over the club. Artell is an admirer of the MK Dons philosophy and says that the appointment of their young Head Coach, Liam Manning, will not alter it.

Crewe host the MK Dons this weekend and Artell says that they will always continue ‘to play the right way’.

Ahead of or home encounter with the Dons, the Alex boss said: “People will say that it is easier to prepare for a team like MK Dons, because they are closer to us in terms of style of play but you have to be careful with that.

“Every team is tough and MK Dons have their own philosophy. They play the game the right way, or the way I like the game to be played. It is in their DNA and that stems from the club’s Sporting Director.

“Liam (Sweeting) is young, keen and enthusiastic and their philosophy won’t change. Liam Manning has come in as head coach and has carried on where Russell (Martin) left off.

“I would imagine he is still finding his feet a little, but we are 15, 20 games in now, so his side will reflect him and his beliefs. They play good football and it should be a good game of football.

“We have two home games coming up in quick succession and a few more coming up as well so it is great opportunity to get some points and start to climb the table.”
