David Artell says the table doesn’t lie and his Crewe Alexandra side need to start turning more draws into wins and defeats into draws. Crewe go into this weekend’s game at Fleetwood on the back of just one defeat in the last eight games in all competitions but we are still looking for that first away win in the league.

Ahead of this weekend’s trip to Highbury, Artell told the club’s official website: “We want to finish as high as we possible but at the moment we are where we are.

“The table doesn’t lie and all that and we know we need to improve our results. We have been tougher to beat of late but we need to try and turn those draws into some more wins. If we can do that then we will start to move up the table quickly because it is still tight.

“There is work to be done here and no-one will be resting on their laurels. No one is here thinking we have cracked it. We had a good result against Wigan. A good 45 minutes against Cambridge and we have to get back on it at Fleetwood and the games that follow that as well.”
